  1.  Texas Instruments (TXN:$23.88,00$0.21,000.89%) edged lower in evening trade after guiding its Q2 view to the high end of its previous range, citing strong broad-based demand for its chips, particularly from industrial customers.

  2. Take-Two Interactive Software (TTWO:...) edged higher in after-hours trading after beating Q2 earnings expectations, missing on revenue, and issuing in-line guidance.

  4. Research in Motion, makers of BlackBerry, (RIMM:$58.29,00$1.73,003.06%) is back near its session highs, recouping about half of yesterday's losses at 61.34, up over 2%, after initial reviews for the new iPhone by rival Apple were decidedly mixed.

  5. Corning (GLW) closed up 6.6%, expanding a 2.6% pre-market gain following a morning upgrade. Bernstein upgraded the stock to Outperform from Market Perform. The analyst firm reportedly raised its price target to $22 from $21 on company shares.

  6. Bob Evans Farms (BOBE:$26.86,00$0.38,001.44%) reports Q4 sales of $442.7 mln, up from $431 mln a year ago and below the analyst mean of $447 mln on Thomson Reuters. EPS was $0.68, down from $0.69 per share last year. The Street was at $0.62 per share.

Standard & Poor's on Tuesday said it may cut its ratings on Transocean (RIG:$46.33,00$-2.84,00-5.78%) , and revised its outlook on Anadarko Petroleum Corp (APC:$42.80,00$-2.02,00-4.51%) to negative from stable, citing a moratorium on deepwater drilling as a result of the largest oil spill in U.S. history.
