  • Companies would get a break on payroll taxes for creating new jobs in the United States under a bill coming up for a vote in the Senate this week.
  • U.S. Democrats are postponing a vote on renewing Bush-era tax cuts until after the November elections, when Republicans may gain several congressional seats immediately.
  • U.S. stocks fell on Monday, after four consecutive weeks of gains, as worries over European banks weighed on the financials sector and offset a flurry of deal making.

    • said it would offer to sell at least 10 million shares of common stock, saying it plans to use the proceeds to acquire additional agency securities and for general corporate purposes.
    • I tend to be short when companies offer shares, so nothings changed here.
  2. PAYX = 26.93, -.5%, 27.55 - 26.75
    • reported a quarterly profit above market view, helped by an increase in revenue from its human resources services segment.
    • This stock did pop after hours, but its failure to hold the top of this range has me looking to short for any revisits back to the top.
  3. RIMM = 48.36, +2%, 48.80 - 49.40
    • Rolling Out New Features, Including PlayBook and Tablet.
    • Rim back in play, looks like it could see 50+ tomorrow, long.
  4. NR = 8.70, -6.3%, 8.61 - 8.09
    • to Sell $150 Mln in Convertible Sr. Notes due 2017.
    • I usually don't play seniors, but this is a good cheap short set up.
  5. ENTR = 9.80, -6.6%, 9.33 - 9.09
    • To Offer 10M Shares Of Stock, Pushing Price Down     
    • Again, same as NR here, but since its not seniors I'm more prone to short this one. 
  6. CNGX = 22.89, +11.4%, 24.4 - 25.5
    • Raises 3Q Revenue Forecast On Factory Automation Demand.  
    • Looking to long this tomorrow, nice solid move up, will watch early on to see if sell pressure drags it down or if it can hold and push through.
  7. JBL =  13.89, -1.2%, 14.00 - 13.58
    • Beats With Q4 EPS, Meets With Revs, Guides In Line to Above Street for Q1 EPS, In Line to Below With Revs.
    • Steady sell pressure of the initial earnings beat pop, has me thinking downtrend tomorrow, but I'll look to scalp only. Possible reversal.

    • Held some over for this long, hoping to see some more steady climbs this week.
  3. BIDU = 103.82
    • Heck of a run for them since last week around 90, now over 100. $watch.
  4. APKT = 39.39
    • broke out today, seeing 2007 resistance at 22 area, watch.
