  1. Align Technology Inc (ALGN:$17.12,00$2.29,0015.44%) rose 15.4 percent after the orthodontic product maker posted quarterly results that beat estimates and forecast a sunny outlook for the third quarter.
  2. Shares in Riverbed Technology Inc (RVBD:$35.83,00$4.42,0014.07%) rose 14.1 percent and touched a year high after growth in product revenue boosted its earnings. It also guided its third quarter above Wall Street's view.
  3. Acquisitions also helped stocks. Shares of oil and gas explorer Quicksilver Resources Inc (KWK:$13.12,00$0.37,002.90%) rose 2.9 percent to $13.12 a day after the company agreed to sell its limited partnership in a deal that will help reduce its debt.
  4. Qlogic Corp (QLGC:$15.76,00$-3.09,00-16.39%) fell 16.4 percent to $15.76 after the network equipment maker posted a first-quarter profit that beat analysts' expectations by a cent, but revenue trailed Wall Street's forecast.
  5. Lender Processing Services Inc (LPS:$31.99,00$-2.30,00-6.71%) fell 6.7 percent to $31.99. The company posted an in-line quarterly profit but forecast third-quarter profit below analysts' expectations and cut 2010 revenue outlook. 
  6. Power Integrations (POWI:$36.05,00$0.52,001.46%) today announced that a federal district court has found that Fairchild Semiconductor willfully infringed its patents. Fairchild was found to infringe four of the company's patents following a jury trial in October 2006; the jury rejected Fairchild's challenges to the validity of the patents in September 2007; the court rejected Fairchild's enforceability challenges in September 2008; and the finding of willfulness follows a bench trial conducted in June 2009. The infringement was found to be willful on each of the four patents involved in the case.
