  4. JDS Uniphase Corp. (JDSU:$10.2225,$0.1525,1.51%) said it swung to a fourth-quarter profit of $ 1.5 million, or 1 cent a share, compared to a net loss of $63.6 million, or 29 cents a share, for the same period last year. Revenue grew 43% to $390.9 million. On a non-GAAP basis, the company said it earned 15 cents a share on revenue of $398.1

  6. Rue21 Inc (RUE:$23.62,00$0.97,004.28%) posted quarterly earnings that beat estimates by a cent on better margins, but the teen apparel retailer's third-quarter profit forecast fell short of market expectations.
  7. Aviat Networks Inc.'s (AVNW:$3.84,00$-0.03,00-0.78%) fiscal fourth-quarter loss widened significantly amid write-downs while results fell short of analysts' expectations.

  8. Shoe Carnival Inc.'s (SCVL:$18.81,00$0.57,003.12%) fiscal second-quarter profit more than quadrupled to a record on strong sales and higher margins.
    • But shares fell 3% to $18.24 in after-hours trading as the shoe retailer's sales were at the low end of its guidance. The stock was down 8% this year as of the close.
