Sept 22

Milestone Financial Investments L.L.C.
  • Nasdaq-100 After-Hours Indicator Down 4.21 at 1984.90
  1. ADBE = -15.9%, 33.69 - 27.65
    • tumbled lower in after-hours trade after beat Q3 expectations but also setting its Q4 earnings view in a range that could come in shy of Street estimates.
    • slim tendency to reverse direction following after-hours declines gives us some pause on a short bet, but the longer-term widening pattern in place, combined with some very aggressive sell pressure tonight would have us leaning firmer to the short side tomorrow. The stock established ceiling levels at 29.30 to 29 and at 28.70 to 28.35, ranges shorts may want to eye as a potential entry points. More risk tolerant shorts may want to sit closer to the 28.35 to 27.90 range earlier tomorrow in anticipation of the stock perhaps starting closer to this area and possible making another downside run into the high- to mid-27s.
  2. PMCS = -7.3%, 7.81 - 6.74
    • declined in after-hours trade after cutting its Q3 revenue guidance below the Street view.
    • A pre-market open Wednesday may have potential in the 7.30 to 7.20 range. Sellers established a tentative ceiling level tonight between 7.35 and 7.27, an area early shorts may want to watch as possible jumping in points that could see downside drift back into the lower 7.20s or perhaps south of this area.
  3. PWER = +4%, 9.17 - 8.67
    • board approved a 10-million-share buyback effort, about 6% of its shares outstanding.
    • sell pressure has been on this stock as of late, I'm more inclined to watch for pops and build into a short for a swing.
  4. DRI = -2%, 44.49 - 42.70
    • approved a dividend of 0.32 per share.
    • Strong company, watch for it to trade in this range, mixed view.
  5. ARE = -4%, 72.91 - 69.90
    • announced plans to sell at least 4 million shares to raise money to repay some of its borrowings on its unsecured line of credit.
    • I'm always short when companies have to sell shares to repay dept, means they aren't liquid enough to handle it.
Not alot of alerts tonight, just a few with some good vol and some secure moves, mkt is overbought, could stay this way for a while, but means selective trading is coming in to play. Looking to be more short biased overall, with longs on a selective basis until we get some pull backs on the short term overbought indicator.
