Jan 26 - Wed. "MIPS is my pick"

Milestone Financial Investments L.L.C.
  • Nasdaq-100 After-Hours Indicator Down 1.80 at 2,302.23
  1. YHOO, -1.9%
    • Q4 revenue just ahead of the Street view and setting its Q1 revenue view in a range below expectations
    • tendency to add to after-hours downside moves in next-day trade, but the late buying tonight should make traders cautious. Sell momentum was aggressive early tonight at 16 to 15.80, a potential near-term top to watch. More risk tolerant shorts may want to sit closer to the 15.80 to 15.70 range in anticipation of the stock starting the day closer to these levels and perhaps drifting back into the mid-15s.
  2. GILD, -2%
    • meeting Q4 expectations and getting a "refuse to file" notice from the FDA
    • long- and short-term widening patterns in place would have us looking at potential short plays on GILD tomorrow. Early shorts may want to target potential entry points near 37.60 to 37.40, an area that set up as a tentative top tonight.
  3. RFMD, -8.8%
    • beating Q4 estimates but also guiding for a sequential revenue decline
    • risk tolerant shorts may want to test the waters closer to 7.10 to 7.00 as this area saw some decent sell pressure late tonight and could hold as a ceiling as the stock perhaps tests new near-term lows in the higher-6s.
  4. MIPS, -10.4%
    • Q2 revenue that was just short
    • watch for a potential reversal tomorrow based on some decent buy action off tonight's lows. Early longs may want to target potential entry points between the low of 13 and 13.40, levels where buyers looked most confident tonight and where there may be room to catch some upside bounces into the mid- to higher-13s.
  5. WMS, -9.1%
    • Q3 revenue forecast lags
    • flattened out at 41, look for a reversal off this level in pre-, look for perks, then reversal.
  6. DV, +5.5%
    • 2Q Profit Climbs 22%, Helped By Higher Revenue
    • headed through 50, got some solid support at 48.9ish 49, pushed up looking for a solid move through 50.
  7. JNPR, +3%
    •  4Q Net Up On Provider Demand
    • Came down initially, and then popped up, but struggled to get through 44.75 and 45, but eventually did and should form support there. resistance is at 46. Long biased.
  8. YRCW - was long off of 4 early today, took it off by eod, but probably shouldn't have, looks like its going to be strong tomorrow, broke out of a base and looks good to roll.
  9. MBI - down quit a bit, based around 11ish, a little above that mark, saw some perks off that level late in the day.
  10. IGOI - pulled back to 3.5, had to perk days ina row now, maybe its done bleeding. take a shot.
  11. LDK - had a large pullback today, towards 13.2, got some wierds prints ah's, over 14, 14.44 3k, 14.4, 5k, etc. Stock is approaching its 52's.
  12. CPWM - short play from 8.7, got some downs today, if 8 cracks could see 7 fast, if 7 then 5, will cover at each point, ideally.
