Milestone Financial Investments LLC - Scalping since 2009
"Scalping Man, I am"

  • Nasdaq-100 After-Hours Indicator Up 1.18 at 1,859.12.
  • The SEC said Samuel Wyly and Charles Wyly Jr. of Dallas set up a sham system of trusts and subsidiary companies in the Isle of Man and the Cayman Islands. They sold more than $750 million worth of stock in four public companies for which they were corporate directors.
  • Leading members of the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee raised concerns about increasing the ethanol content in gasoline without adequate testing proving it won't harm vehicle, marine and equipment engines.
  • US Stocks Close Lower As Consumer Staples Weigh.
  • Google says China sites now fully accessible.
    • GOOG shot down in ah's, but this news could give them their 2% back and bring BIDU's 4% gain back down.
  1. Power-One (PWER:$9.96,00$0.24,002.47%) leaped higher in night trade on the back of better-than-expected results and guidance.
    • Q2 beats, sees strong Q3 sales, shares soar
    • Swings To 2Q Profit As Revenue Doubles; View Rosy
    • Shot up to 12, dip to 11, steadied out to 11.3, sup 11.5, 11.1 (buy long), if it begins to break down a good short spot would be 11 area, downside objectives 10.2, 9.9, 9.7. (8.5, 9.6, 10.2 pivotal levels).
    • I really think this will break out and any buy around 11 take it long to 11.5+.
  2. Sunoco Inc. (SUN:$34.29,00$0.41,001.21%) swung to a second-quarter profit, beating analysts' views as higher refining margins and lower expenses offset lower production levels after shutting a major refinery late last year.
    • Shot up to 35.87 down to 35.4, sup 33.63, 34.22, 34.87.
    • I am short biased around 35.5 area, if that breaks, hold, until new highs are met, then ditch it, if not target s/s would be 34.87 and the other sup levels aforementioned.
  3. Google (GOOG:...) shares down 1.6 pct, Baidu (BIDU:$79.20,00$-0.20,00-0.25%) up 2.8 pct.
    •  Google says China sites now fully accessible, which the reason why GOOG dropped in first place was that China had blocked them or so they say. BIDU shot up for this reason. Maybe something to watch in the future. Shady business and stock manipulation.
    • Short Term, Long GOOG (res 481area) for that 1.6% gain back and s/s BIDU (sup 79.5) for that 3% release back.
  4. McAfee Inc.'s (MFE:$30.25,00$-0.87,00-2.80%) second-quarter profit jumped 38% as the antivirus-software maker posted strong revenue growth in North America, although margins fell slightly.
    • Long, long long this stock.
    • Buy 30.2-30.5area, resistance and most likely sell 31, 31.2 (ideal), 31.9 (Monday).
  5. Expedia (EXPE:$21.07,00$-0.23,00-1.08%) reports Q2 revs of $834 mln, vs. the analyst mean of $845 mln on Thomson Reuters. Adjusted EPS was $0.44, two cents ahead of the Street view.
    •  expect this stock to be choppy tomorrow, good scalper
    • s/s 22 adn 21.7 areas, longs 21 area.
  6. Acme Packet (APKT:$32.39,00$-0.01,00-0.03%) slumped lower in after-hours trade despite posting better-than-expected results and guidance.
    • shot down to 28.5, some up @ 28.2, but continued downtrend to 28flat.
    • Seems like a discrepency between results and guidance v. the major drop.
    • I would watch volume, if heavy green bars starts to roll in, Long it at 28.5 area, wouldn't short it.
  7. Wynn Resorts Ltd.'s (WYNN:$87.85,00$-0.02,00-0.02%) second-quarter profit more than doubled on strong growth in the Chinese gambling enclave Macau.
    • choppy b4 close dropping to 83.51, pop ah's 88.26, drop 85.27, leveled out at 85 where it showed some support.
    • this stock has been on a 10 day high, probably in anticipation of this report, expect sell offs that you can short anything above 85-88 area s/s, be wary of picking a bottom on this one for the long as it could come down to the lower 80's. Good report should of pushed it higher, but I think its priced in and we see a come down.
  8. Coinstar Inc.'s (CSTR:$48.09,00$-0.07,00-0.15%) second-quarter profit nearly doubled as the rapid expansion of its Redbox DVD movie-rental business over the past year boosted results. But same-store DVD kiosk sales slowed dramatically from the first quarter's pace, and results missed the company's already-reduced expectations, stoking fears that recent agreements with some movie studios to delay new- release rentals is hurting business.
    • drop to 41.67 b4 close, pop'd a bit got sup 42.6 and 44.2
    • profit doubled, but kiosk sales slowed v. a huge pace to keep up it was expected, the huge drop was a great buying op imo.
    • Long on those sup levels above, target sell 45, if breaks through look for what you can get.
  9. Profit soared at silicon maker MEMC Electronic Materials Inc (WFR:$11.26,00$-0.24,00-2.09%) , but the second-quarter results fell short of Wall Street expectations and its shares fell more than 6 percent.
    • drop to 10.34, low of 10.14, sup 10.55,
    • cant see it dropping a ton more tomorrow on the s/s of things 10.5 s/s with a target of 10flat cover.
    • long side 10 area buy with upside range to 10.34-10.55+.
    • even though it had bad report just cant see it coming down too far.
    • honestly, not too clear on this soothsaying.
  10. Genworth Financial Inc. (GNW:$15.7900,$0.2300,1.48%) swung to a second-quarter profit as the company's decline in payouts outpaced that in revenue, but growth in core profit didn't live up to analysts' expectations.
    • drop 15, pop 15.29, dip back to 15
    • I hated the fundamentals of reading this earnings report
    • I'm short this stock tomorrow, I expect it to downtrend all day.
  11. Amgen Inc. (AMGN:$53.37,00$-0.39,00-0.73%) reported a 5.3% drop in second-quarter net income, as total sales of its products dropped and spending rose in preparation of a key product launch.
    • ah's downtrended to 53, this choppy stock is unpredictable considering launch. Good scalper though, let it establish patter and play off that pattern.
    • If it breaks down 53 s/s it for a scalp, wouldn't get too confident with the profit.
    • Could reverse back to 53.6, which is major sup level, on the downside 52.2 is s/s target for swing trade. BE CAREFUL.
  12. Canada'sSierra Wireless Inc (SWIR:$7.58,00$0.37,005.13%) posted better-than-expected quarterly results, helped by higher demand for its machine-to-machine communications products, and forecast a strong third quarter.
    •  low volume watch
    • pop to 8, then 8.24 with major sup 7.05
    • People may want to take profit and with the low liquidity could be volatile for the stock, keep an eye on volume, green bars, and maybe long some sup 8's if looks to bounce or continuance on ah's move.
  13. Quest Software Inc (QSFT:$19.25,00$-0.04,00-0.21%) posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit, helped by a 25 percent jump in license revenue, sending its shares up 6 percent in extended trade.
