  3. (POT:$150.20) tells shareholders to reject BHP's $130/share hostile bid. BHP up 1.2%.
  4. Focus Media Holding Ltd. (FMCN:$18.54,00$0.43,002.37%) swung to a fiscal second-quarter profit on year-earlier write-down charges, as the Chinese digital-advertising company continued to benefit from a broad-based recovery of that region's ad market.
    • Stock drifted in light evening volume at to just below the 18.60 line before pushing up to around 19 and just above. Resistance there dropped the issue back slightly to 18.60, an area that might serve as Tuesday's early launch point. A buy at that mark may set up as an attractive long entry point for pre-market trading though the thinly traded nature of this stock will invite extra volatility.

  8. Shares of Lowe's (LOW:$20.2300,$-0.4100,-1.99%) are up in pre-market trading as the company is reportedly upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Goldman.
    • Lowe's shares have a price target of $24 on company shares.
  9. Sunoco Logistics Partners LP (SXL:$76.5400,$0.6300,0.83%) has planned a public offering of up to 2 million of its common units as it seeks to repay debt, which could boost the number outstanding by 6.5%.
