  1. Quidel (QDEL:$12.09,00$-0.12,00-0.98%) : Stock spiked to an early evening high of 13.72 but retreated quickly from this top. It settled mostly near the flatline, trading between 12.07 and 12.23. The company's news of FDA 510k clearance is generally an upbeat announcement for a stock, but tonight volume was on the thin side and sellers kept in check any move to break hard above 12.10 to the low 12.20s. With more volume due in the shares tomorrow some of the more risk tolerant longs may want to watch for any potential support to develop in the 12 to 12.20 range. If this level sees more aggressive buy action than recorded tonight then there may be room to claw into the higher-12s.
  2. FormFactor, Inc. (FORM:$7.00,00$-0.24,00-3.31%) now expects revenue for fiscal third quarter 2010 to be between $46 million and $48 million, lower than the previous expectation of the low to mid $50 millions and below the Thomson Reuters mean analyst estimate for $57 million.
    • The lower than expected results are due to the timing of completion of qualifications for the Matrix product family at major customers, the company's decision to turn away low margin business and longer lead times quoted than customers requested.
    • Price: 6.72, Change: -0.28, Percent Change: -4
