Oct 19 - Tues

Milestone Financial Investments L.L.C.
  • Short-term options known as Weeklys on Monday accounted for an usually large amount of daily option volume in several stocks and exchange-traded funds during the busiest week of the earnings reporting season.
  1. AAPL, 318, -5.2%, 295-304
    • Blows Past Q4 Expectations, Q1 Guidance Mixed
    • stock pop'd hard off the 295 level to push 304 where it consolidated around 301, I'm looking at an upward move tomorrow, housing numbers may cause a problem though.
    • More risk tolerant longs may want to watch for any drops back to tonight's lows of 292.75 up to 300, an area where upside liquidity was decent tonight and where a tentative near-term floor support could form for potential moves back into the low 300s.
  2. IBM, -3.6%
    • better-than-expected results and guidance and effectively "sell the news"
    • The stock's broader tendency to reverse direction between the sessions, combined with some tentative lean to do so following an evening downside move, may offer more risk tolerant longs some opportunities in the stock Tuesday. Longs may want to watch the 137 to 137.50 area to start, levels that could set up as a near-term bottom support and perhaps see some firming back toward 138 or higher. On the short side, sellers were most aggressive tonight at 140.50 to 139.40, an area that could form as a possible ceiling level.
  3. CWTR, -31.3%
    • Warns Q3 Results Will Come in Below Expectations
    • short, this thing came down bounces off 3.6, settled around 4.
  4. VMW, -6.7%
    • 3Q Profit Surges; Issues Strong 4Q Rev Target
    • The longer-term reversal pattern, combined with some steady upside support tonight off the lows would have us looking at potential long plays in VMW to start on Tuesday. More risk tolerant longs may want to nibble at the shares off the 72 to 73 range, an area that could hold as a floor support for possible bumps back into the mid-70s.
  5. MSFT,  -2.2%
    • said on Monday that chief software architect Ray Ozzie, the man who took over that role from co-founder Bill Gates, would retire and not be replaced.
  6. INFN, -14.8%
    • Q3 profit beats Wall Street
  7. HT,  -8.2%, 5.94-5.73
    • Plans To Sell More Stock.
  8. COF, 37.23, +4.1%, 38-39
    • Beats Q3 Earnings Expectations
    • like this one long, seems like one of the few that is doing well.
    • steady uptrend ah's.
  9. BIDU Pushed towards its 52week, today, its 107, came down a bit, but we'll see...
  10. LDK I love how this locked into this upward gear, very nice moves.
  11. CBLI hit 52's today, see what happens from this point.
