Oct 20 - Wed

Milestone Financial Investments L.L.C.
  • Nasdaq-100 After-Hours Indicator Down 1.68 at 2,068.05
  1. JNPR, 27.25-30.05,
    • massive drop followed by 3 distinct pops back to high, not much of a sell off, but fell back to around 29 before night trade closed.
    • Downside pressure was minimal in late trade, but looking deep into earnings events the stock has a tendency to start high and fall down, which has me thinking it will open high possibly push and be a much greater short.
  2. ALTR, 29.88-30.15,
    • solid pop to high, where it geared into a range and eventually closed night trade at evenings highs.
    • The stock has recorded an after-hours earnings driven gain in 21 of the 25 quarters we've tracked over the last six years, and in 12 of those upside evening moves the stock has seen a more aggressive positive run in the next day's regular session. While the near-term reversal pattern gives us some pause, the consistent upside volume recorded tonight, combined with some solid long-term historical data that favors widening, has us looking at a possible long play on ALTR Wednesday. Early buyers may want to linger near the 29.60 to 30 area, a base support that held this evening and where there may be room to see some bounces north of 30.
  3. ISRG, 256.41-272.56
    • dropped to low, geared for a bit and then popped into uptrend where it touched highs, some sells off the high brought the stock back down a bit, strong company overall, long if you want to hold for a long time, looking to day-trade it you would benefit from scalping inside the range established tonight.
    • ISRG has seen wider follow-on regular session movement on the heels of 16 of its last 23 extended-hours quarterly reports, 70% of the time. The near-term performance is mixed, including two widening and two narrowing moves. Looking deeper into the performance data, ISRG has recorded an after-hours decline in 8 quarters, adding to its evening declines in next-day trade in 5 quarters (62% of the time). Despite tonight's late burst of buying, we're inclined to follow ISRG's rather firm widening patterns in place and look for a short play on the issue tomorrow. Early shorts may want to target possible enttry points near 270 to 267.50, late levels recorded tonight that could set up as a tentative near-term top.
  4. CREE, 49.17-46.69
    • drop to lows after hours followed by slight dollar pop, and small uptrendish pattern. although very weak would have me slightly longer on the issue than short, although a short play would prove tentative.
    • It found firmer support into the mid-session and second-half, clawing up to still downside levels between 49.60 and 48. Evening indications would suggest CREE records a potential pre-market open Wednesday near the 49 to 48.50 area. The 49.50 to 48.50 area stood as a consistent ceiling level through tonight's trade, an area shorts may want to eye as a potential top tomorrow that could see downside drift back toward 48 or below.
  5. BSX, 6.05-6.21
    • little choppy after hours, but formed some support 6.15 area, looking for upside moves off of that level tomorrow would be ideal.
  6. GILD, 36.71-37.75
    •  popped to high, maintained gains and looking to move off of support tomorrow, which formed at 37.5 area.
  7. NFLX earnings tomorrow, ah's, looking at options tomorrow, Possibly straddle 150 weeklys.
  8. ABK Crazy pop last part of day, little pull back to 1.1 area ah's, keep an eye on.
  9. REE Very solid today, pulled back on some sells and major panic when the dow hit 200, only to resume uptrend.
